Athletics

Our goal is to provide students the opportunity to grow in Godly character and commitment by focusing on honesty, integrity and teamwork. Our desire is to build unity through a spirit of grace and truth, while continuing to cultivate a love of learning. As our Athletic program grows, we hope to give every TCS student the opportunity to participate and thrive in sports, honoring God both on and off the field.

We enjoy building our TCS community, being an encouragement during competition, all while giving God the glory.

After School Activities

We are excited to offer several wonderful extra curricular activities for our students after school. Information and links to registration (where applicable) are shared in our weekly Crash Course. Please read the full details for links to registration.

Bucket Drumming (3rd-8th)

Bucket Drumming is led by our music teacher, Marla Young, and will build on the music reading skills embedded in the general music curriculum, with a focus on rhythm, form, and teamwork.

Covenant Chorus (6th-11th)

The Covenant Chorus replaces our prior years’ “Theatre Choir” - the chorus will still sing some Theatre repertoire, but we’ll also sing other music!

We desire to build mountaintop experiences for our music students that are more than “just about them.” In addition, we want to create opportunities for parents to be involved, and to embody our institution’s perspective that music making should be a life-long pursuit!

The Covenant Guard (4th-8th boys)

This Covenant Guard is an opportunity to cultivate close relationships with peers and fathers, outside of the walls of the home and the classroom. Along that journey, the guys will gain useful life skills and collectively pursue a more robust understanding of what it means to live out the Gospel. The actual content, activities, structure will be similar to scouting, but with a focus on the TCS values of Jesus, Family, Others, and Learning.

Sign Language (3rd-5th)

We are excited to be able to offer an enrichment sign language class for the Upper Grammar Students. Mrs. McNees wants to spread the love of sign language and an awareness of deaf culture. Students will learn to sign the alphabet, numbers, colors, seasons, months, basic conversational skills, etc. Also, students will learn the signs to scripture and/or songs we sing (i.e the Doxology).

Upper Grammar Choir (3rd-5th)

This ensemble will introduce students to songs that are beautiful, exuberant, and fun in the context of a team-building musical experience. This ensemble will also give students an opportunity to expand the singing and music reading skills from the K-5 general music curriculum by singing partner songs, singing rounds, using solfege (“Do Re Mi’s”), and reading music. The experience will culminate in a concert for parents.

Worship Band (9th-11th)

Worship Band is an auditioned group who will perform throughout the year at various school Daystarters and events. Led by Robin Conine, our music teacher, Worship Band offers an opportunity for students to use their musical gifts to honor God and bless the students and families of TCS.

Yearbook (8th-11th)

Our yearbook team begins meeting in October. and meets every other Tuesday afternoon through December, then meet most Tuesday afternoons January - March. Student volunteers will help us to gather photos, layout, and edit the yearbook.

Other Student Activities

As we grow, we are excited to other student activities, such as Student Council, Newspaper Club, Ropin’ Rhinos, and more. We invite parents to share ideas and help lead in areas where you are able. Check the Crash Course for details of any new student activities.
