Thank you for your interest in The Covenant School. We have limited spots available for the 2019-2020 academic year, therefore, we encourage you to contact us if you wish to obtain more information on a possible enrollment for the upcoming academic year.
The Admissions Process is given below. Our educational model is quite unique therefore it is important for these procedures to be followed.
Attend an Informational Meeting and/or an Open House
These events are scheduled in the late fall and winter of each academic year. The schedule is available here. Attendance at one of these events is required in order to apply.
Read three documents:
Prospective families may submit an online application or they may download the application and submit a hard copy. The online application is available here or the application can be downloaded and printed here. An application fee of $75 is required for each application submitted online or mailed to the school.
If there are openings in the grade then a school representative will contact you to schedule a parent interview with two school officials. Both parents are required to attend the interview and we strongly encourage your child to attend as well. Younger siblings are also welcome to attend, if needed.
Academic Screening and Assessment
At TCS we strive to make admissions decisions that put students in the best position to be successful. We do submit teacher recommendation forms for students who have been enrolled in preschool or who have attended another school prior to applying at TCS. We also have parents submit their child’s academic records from their current school (including report cards and standardized testing results). Furthermore, we utilize the Gesell Screening for all kindergarten and 1st-grade applicants as we have found this to be a wonderful tool for assisting with kindergarten/1st-grade readiness. Additional information on the Gesell Assessment is available here. Additional academic screening will be scheduled for all students applying to 2nd grade and above.
After the family interview and academic screening, upon acceptance into TCS, parents will be invited to sign an Enrollment Contract for the upcoming school year. A non-refundable $250 enrollment fee is due with each signed contract.
Attendance at our Parent Training is required for the parent who will be serving as the child’s co-teacher. This training will take place on August 19 - 21, 2019.
Please note that it can take between 4-6 weeks to complete the admissions process. We do accept applications for classes that are at capacity. In this situation the family will remain in the waiting pool and will be contacted should an opening occur. Families in the waiting pool for one year will remain in the pool for the following year (in other words, families who are in the waiting pool do not need to reapply for the following year).
Tuition for 2019-2020
Grammar school (Kindergarten - 5th Grade): $3,950 annually
Dialectic school (6th & 7th Grade): $4,950 annually
Please note that curriculum, field trips, and uniforms are not included in the tuition cost.
Tuition Discounts: The annual tuition is discounted by $100 for those who would like to pay lump sum in August. The discount is $25 per semester for those who would like to pay for each semester as a lump sum. At this time we are not able to offer any additional financial assistance.

The Covenant School is not currently equipped to modify its instructional or evaluation procedures in response to a student’s learning differences or special challenges. All students will receive credit for work completed relative to a common standard, rather than individualized standards created based on a student’s special needs.
